Join Us! Pack 632 welcomes all boys and girls in grades 1-5 who want to have fun, develop their strengths and skills, and be part of an organization that has been serving youth for 100 years. Cub scout leaders follow the principles of scouting, embodied in the scout oath and scout law, and use these principles to guide cub scouts through their development. If you have questions about cub scouts or wish to find out how to join, please feel free to contact Pack 632’s Cubmaster at cubmaster@arlington632.mypack.us . Check out our Pack’s activity calendar here Boys and Girls While all current dens at Pack 632 are boys, we are open to starting up new dens for girls if there are enough interested girls and parent volunteers to help run the dens. This is great in general, but particularly for families with both boys and girls so that you can do the Pack activities together! Siblings are always welcome at the activities, but if girls create a den they can earn badges and participate more fully. What is Cub Scouting? Cub Scouting is a year-round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of young boys and girls and their parents. The program offers fun and challenging activities that are age appropriate and promote character development and physical fitness. Service projects, ceremonies, games, and other activities guide our young ones through scouting’s core values and give them a sense of personal achievement. Through positive peer group interaction and guidance, boys and girls learn the 12 principles of the scout law. The pack is always seeking active adult leadership and involvement, which plays an essential element of Cub Scouting and parents are encouraged to play an active role in the program. Through interaction between parents, leaders, and friends, scouts learn citizenship, compassion, and courage. This family and community-centered approach to learning means that Cub Scouting is truly time well spent. Updated Pack Calendar Posted on Jan 18 2021 - 10:39pm Pack Message: The pack calendar is now updated with our most current activities. Campfire @ Lacey Woods on 9/11 Posted on Sep 10 2020 - 5:05pm Pack Message: Pack 632 has restarted scouting activities and we hope you can attend our campfire kick off on the evening of September 11th, which we will do on a smaller group rotation basis (see schedule below and find your group) to allow our cub scouts and their families to grab a goodie bag, schedule of events, and a little time by the campfire. We will hold the AOL crossing ceremony for those kids moving on to boy scouts and then have small group meetups. Details below and hope to see you and your families and provide some recognition awards postponed from last year! Your families and siblings are welcome to attend during these meet-ups. We strongly encourage Class A uniforms. Please stop by and don’t forget your masks and hand sanitizer! Goodies will be provided, including individual ice creams. And remember, we are using a rotation basis, so times are specific to your den. read more Pack Activities Posted on Apr 20 2020 - 1:33pm Pack Message: Unfortunately, we removed the Blue and Gold Banquet and Camp Catoctin from the pack’s activity calendar.
